Overview
Beas Kund trek is one of the most popular treks in Manali because of its moderate grade and breath taking view including the mountain ranges of Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal. The term Beas comes from the name of famous Rishi Vyas and the meaning of Kund is water source, together it makes the water source dedicated to Rishi Vyas. It is said that Rishi Vyas used to take his bath in the water source while he was meditating here. The highlight of the trek is the breath taking view of sunrise from the Hanuman Tibba and the panoramic vistas of the beautiful Friendship Peak, Shitidhar and Seven Sisters. This trek gives you the experience of crossing the snout area of the Beas Kund Glacier, relishing upon some delicious wild strawberries that you can pluck and eat en route.
